Facts

Orion Transformers and Electrics Limited filed an application on 19 June 2025 challenging the outcome of a procurement process for the supply of distribution transformers under framework contract for Lots 1, 2 and 3 (Procurement No. UEDCL/SUPPLS/2023-24/10278) in respect of Lot 1. The respondent Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited and the best evaluated bidder Steema Transformers and Electricals Limited both filed responses on 23 June 2025. On 24 June 2025, the applicant's counsel filed a notice of withdrawal. At an oral hearing held via Zoom on 3 July 2025, the applicant reiterated its decision to withdraw and neither the respondent nor the best evaluated bidder objected.
