An Act to make supplementary appropriation out of the Consolidated Fund under section 16 of the Public Finance and Accountability Act 2003 of a sum of one hundred twenty six billion three hundred twenty six million, one hundred fifty nine thousand shillings to meet additional expenditures for the financial year 2003/2004.

THE APPROPRIATION ACT, 2004.

An Act to apply a sum of three thousand one hundred and eighty five billion, two hundred and fifty two million, five hundred and sixty one thousand shillings out of the Consolidated Fund to the service of the year ending on the 30th June, 2005 and to appropriate the supplies granted.

Date of Assent: 27th September, 2004.

Date of Commencement: 1st July, 2004.

Be it enacted by Parliament as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as

the Appropriation Act, 2004 and Short title shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of July, 2004.

2. The Treasury may issue out of

the Consolidated Fund and Issue of money < apply towards the supply granted to the Government for the service of the of the year ending on the 30th June, 2005, the sum of three Conso' Fund, thousand one hundred and eighty five billion, two hundred and fifty two million, five hundred and sixty one thousand shillings.

Appropri 3. The sums granted by this Act shall be appropriated for the ation. services and purposes in the amounts specified in columns 1 and 2 of the Schedule to this Act.

Extension 4. Any part of the sums granted by section 2 of this Act of duration of appropri which has been, or is issued from the Consolidated Fund on or ation. before the 30th day of June, 2005 shall be available until a date determined by the Secretary to the Treasury (not being later than the 31st day of October, 2005) for making payments which become due during the year ending on the 30th day of June, 2005 to an accounting officer or a receiver of revenue or to an officer administering a fund established under section 9 of the Public Act No. 6 Finance and Accountability Act, 2003. of 2003.

(Under Sections 34 and 51 of the National Social Security Fund Act, Chapter 222 of the Laws of Uganda) In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by Section 34 sub-sections (2) and (7) and Section 51 sub-section (1) (k) of the National Social Security Fund Act (Chapter 222 of the Laws of Uganda), this Order is made this 28th day of September, 2004.

1. This Order may be cited as the National Social Citation

Security Fund (Interest on Benefits) Order, 2004.

2. All Benefits payable out of the National Social Declaration

Security Fund for the financial year 2003/2004 shall carry an " , annual interest rate of seven per centum (7%) calculated on the ' balance standing to the credit of the members' accounts on the first day of July, 2003.
