1. Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Governments (Declaration of Municipalities) Regulations, 2011.

2. Declaration of Municipalities

The following areas are declared to be municipalities- (a) Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipal Council consisting of 15 wards namely- (i) Ward I; (ii) Mazinga; (iii) Kibaare; (iv) Rwenjeru in Nyakabirizi Division; (v) Central; (vi) Ward II; (vii) Kyeitembe; (viii) Ruharo; (ix) Bunyarigi; (x) Ryamabengwa in Central Division; (xi) Ward III; (xii) Ward IV;

(xiii)

Town Ward; (xiv) Kashenyi; and (xv) Buramba in Ishaka Division.

(b)

Busia Municipal Council consisting of 8 wards namely- (i) Central; (ii) South East; (iii) North East'A'; (iv) North 'C; (v) North East 'B' in Eastern Division al) South West; (vii) North 'A'; ana (viii) North 'B' in Western Division.

(c)

Iganga Municipal Council consisting of 11 wards namely-

(i)

Mutukula; (ii) Nkono; (iii) Bugumba; (iv) Nkatu; (v) Igamba in Northern Division; (vi) Nakavule; (vii) Nabidongha; (viii) Kasokoso; (ix) Walugogo; (x) Nabidongha Prison; and (xi) Buligo in Central Division.

(d)

Hoima Municipal Council consisting of 15 wards namely- (i) Bwikya; (ii) Kyentale; (iii) Kicwamba; (iv) Nyakambugu in Mparo Division; (v) Northern; (vi) Central; (vii) Western; (viii) Southern in Kahoora Division; (ix) Kihomboza; (x) Kyessiga;

Karongo in Bujumbura Division; (xii) Kasingo; (xiii) Kibingo; (xiv) Kihukya; and (xv) Kiduuma in Bisiisi Division.

(e)
