1. Title

This Instrument may be cited as the Public Finance Management (Exemption of specified Protected Assets) Instrument, 2024.

2. Exemption of specified Protected Assets

The protected assets specified in paragraph 6(1) (f) of Schedule 4 to the Public Finance Management Act are exempt from the application of paragraph 6 of the Schedule where the protected assets are being earmarked, pledged, committed, loaned out or otherwise encumbered by the Bank of Uganda in the course of performing its functions specified in section 4 of the Bank of Uganda Act.
