Section 124: Repeal of Cap. 261 and savings

(1) The Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute Act is repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute Act- (a) the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute established under section 2 of the repealed Act, shall immediately after the commencement of this Act, be transformed into a public TVET provider known as the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training College in accordance with the provisions of this Act; and (b) any appointment or contract, assets and liabilities made or accruing under the repealed Act, at the commencement date of this Act shall continue in force and be transferred to the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training College established under paragraph (a). (3) For avoidance of doubt, the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training College established under subsection (2), shall comply with the provisions of this Act. (4) For purposes of this section, "repealed Act" means the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training Institute Act.
