Section 17: Restoration of name of teacher on register

Consolidated text
(1) A teacher whose name has been removed from the register may, after two years from the date
of the removal of his or her name, apply to the Director of Education, in such manner as may be prescribed, for his or her name to be restored on the register.
(2) Where an application is made for the restoration of a name on the register, the Director of
Education may-
(a) grant the application;
(b) grant the application subject to conditions;
(c) advise the applicant to apply again at a future date as the Director of Education may specify;
or
(d) refuse to grant the application.
