Section 25: Action taken on receipt of notification

(1) The State of Registry, State of the Operator, State of Design and State of Manufacture may acknowledge receipt of the notification of an accident or serious incident. (2) The State of Registry, State of the Operator, State of Design and State of Manufacture shall, as soon as possible, provide the State of Occurrence with any relevant information available regarding the aircraft and flight crew involved in an accident or serious incident upon receipt of the notification. (3) Subject to subregulation (2), each State shall inform the State of Occurrence whether it intends to appoint an accredited representative and where an accredited representative is appointed, the name, contact details and the expected date of arrival of the accredited representative. (4) The State of the Operator shall, upon receipt of the notification, with a minimum delay and by the most suitable and quickest means available, provide the State of Occurrence with details of any dangerous goods on board the aircraft.
