the Director of Public Prosecutions under sections 36, 37, 38, 39 and 41 of the Anti- Corruption Act shall, with the necessary modifications, apply to offences under sections 244 and 252 as they apply to offences under that Act, and the penalties prescribed in the applied sections shall apply accordingly
