Section 27: Other employees

(1) The Board may, on the advice of the Executive Director, appoint such other employees as may be necessary for the proper and efficient discharge of the functions of the Authority under this Act. (2) The employees of the Authority appointed under this section shall hold office upon such terms and conditions as the Board may determine. (3) Without prejudice to the general effect of subsection (2), the Board may provide for the payment to its employees of salaries, allowances, pension or other terminal benefits and may require them to make contribution to any pension, provident fund or superannuation scheme. (4) The Board may, subject to conditions and restrictions imposed by it, delegate to the Chairperson or the Executive Director any of its powers to appoint or remove any employee under this section. (5) Public officers may be seconded to the service of the Authority on such terms and conditions as may be agreed between the Authority and the employers of those public officers.
