An Act to amend the Amnesty Act, Cap 294.
DATE OF ASSENT: 24th May, 2006.
Date of Commencement: 19th July, 2006.
BE IT ENACTED by Parliament as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Amnesty (Amendment) Act, 2006.
The Amnesty Act is amended by inserting immediately after section 2, the following new section-
"2A. Persons ineligible for amnesty Notwithstanding the provisions of section 2 of the Act a person shall not be eligible for grant of amnesty if he or she is declared not eligible by the Minister by statutory instrument made with the approval of Parliament."
