Section 32: Insertion of Schedule 3 in principal Act

THE COPYRIGHT AND NEIGHBOURING RIGHTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2026 An Act to amend the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act, Cap. 222 to domesticate the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances of 2012, the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled of 2013, the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of 1886, the World Intellectual Property Organisation Copyright Treaty of 1996 and the World Intellectual Property Organisation Performances and Phonograms Treaty of 1996; to provide for the protection of copyright and neighbouring rights in the use and exploitation through internet and other technological means; to provide for the management and exploitation of orphan works; to provide for the regulation of exploitation contracts; to streamline the registration of collecting societies with the Registrar and for related matters.
