(1) The Minister may, by statutory instrument, with the approval of Cabinet, amend Schedule 1 to this
Act.
(2) Subject to subsections (3) and (4), the Minister may, by statutory instrument, after consultation
with the Labour Advisory Board, amend Schedule 2 to this Act.
(3) The Minister shall prior to making a statutory instrument under subsection (2), cause to be
published in the Gazette a notice of his or her intention to make the statutory instrument inviting persons wishing to object to the making of the statutory instrument to submit their objections in writing to the Commissioner for Labour within a period specified in the notice.
(4) The Minister shall consider the objections submitted under subsection (3) and shall in any case not
issue the statutory instrument before the expiry of at least one month after the date of the notice referred to in subsection (3).

Currency point A currency point is equivalent to twenty thousand shillings.
