Consolidated text

(1) The author of any work specified in section 5 shall have a right of protection of the work, where work is original and is reduced to material form in whatever method irrespective of quality of the work or the purpose for which it is created. (2) The protection of the author's work under subsection (1) shall not be subject to any formality. (3) For the purpose of this section, a work is original if it is the product of the independent efforts of the author.
