(1) Except as provided by any other written law, all trials before the High Court shall be with the aid of
assessors, the number of whom shall be two or more as the court thinks fit.
(2) The rules entitled "The Assessors Rules" set out in Schedule 2 to this Act shall have effect in
relation to the several matters mentioned in them.
(3) The Minister may, by statutory instrument, after consultation with the Chief Justice, amend the
Assessors Rules, except rules 2 and 9 of those rules.
