(1) The chief investigator shall, after the completion of the investigations or at any time determined by the chief investigator, return the aircraft records or any documents containing factual information concerning an accident or incident to the persons from whom they were obtained, unless they are still required for judicial proceedings or other proceedings. (2) The records and information referred to in subregulation (1) not claimed by or returned to the persons from whom they were obtained, may be disposed of in any manner that the chief investigator considers fit after a period of three years.
