Section 5: Expiry of appropriations

(1) Any part of the sums granted by section 2 of this Act which has been, or is issued from the Consolidated Fund on or before the 30" day of June, 2022 shall expire and cease to have any effect at the close of the financial year for which it is made. (2) Avvote that does not expend money that was appropriated to the vote for the financial year shall, at the close of the financial year, repay the money to the Consolidated Fund in accordance with section 17 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2015. (3) Any part of the sum issued out of the Petroleum Fund to the Consolidated Fund granted by section 3 which is not withdrawn from the Petroleum Fund by the end of the financial year shall be retained in the Petroleum Fund in accordance with section 59 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2015.
