Section 5: Environmental enforcement audits at the instance of the

Authority or lead agency. (1) The Authority or lead agency may conduct or cause to be conducted an environmental enforcement audit on any project or activity where there is reason to believe that- (a) the operations of the project or activity have or are likely to have adverse impacts on human health or the environment; or (b) the operations of the project or activity violate or are likely to violate the Act, regulations made under the Act or any other applicable law. (2) The Authority or lead agency may carry out an environmental enforcement audit with or without notice to the developer. (3) The notice under subregulation (2) shall be in writing.
