Consolidated text

(1) The governing body of the Authority shall be a Board. (2) The Board shall consist of a Chairperson and six other members appointed by the Minister with the approval of Cabinet. (3) At least one-third of the members of the board appointed under subsection (2) shall be women. (4) In appointing the persons referred to in subsection (2), the Minister shall have regard to the technical experience or qualifications of the persons in matters relating to either management, business, financial management, meteorology or environmental sciences. (5) The Minister shall appoint the Chairperson of the Board from among the members appointed under subsection (2). (6) The Executive Director shall act as the Secretary to the Board and shall be an ex officio member.
