these Regulations (a) a member of staff of the Office who was appointed by the Public Service Commission shall for purposes of his or her pension rights be treated as other public service in accordance with the Pensions Act; and (b) the service of a member of staff of the Office while under the Public Service shall be taken as qualifying service for purposes of his or her pension.
