Section 8: National Environment Management Authority

(1) The National Environment Management Authority established under the National Environment Act, Cap. 153 (Revised Edition, 2000) and existing immediately before the coming into force of this Act shall continue in existence, subject to this Act. (2) The Authority shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal. (3) The Authority shall, in its own name, be capable of suing and being sued and doing and suffering all acts and things as a body corporate may lawfully do or suffer. (4) The Authority shall be under the general supervision of the Minister.
