(1) The National Council of Sports Act, Cap. 48 (Revised Edition, 2000) is repealed. (2) A statutory instrument made under the National Council of Sports Act repealed under subsection (1), which is in force immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall remain in force, until it is revoked by a statutory instrument made under this Act. (3) A certificate issued by the Council or an agreement entered into by the Council before the commencement of this Act shall remain valid until it is revoked under this Act. (4) Notwithstanding subsection (3), a certificate or agreement referred to in that subsection, whose provisions are inconsistent with this Act, shall be amended by the Council within one year from the date of commencement of this Act. (5) A national sports association or a national sports federation, which was duly registered by the Council before the commencement of this Act and which is in existence before the commencement of this Act, shall have effect as if it was registered under this Act provided that the national sports association or the national sports federation shall, within twelve months from the date of commencement of this Act, comply with the provisions of this Act.
