SCHEDULES Schedule 1 The East African Community Mediation Agreement, 1984 Schedule 2 Joint Institution and Common Services Easl African Community Mediation THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY MEDIATION AGREEMENT ACT, 2025 An Act to give force of law in Uganda to the East African Community Mediation Agreement, 1984 and for related matters. Date Of Assent: 3rd July, 2025 Date of Commencement: See Section 1 Preamble WHEREAS an Agreement for the division of assets and liabilities of the former East African Community cited as the "East African Community Mediation Agreement, 1984" and set out in Schedule 1 to this Act, was signed on the 14th May, 1984 on behalf of the Governments of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of Kenya, at Arusha, Tanzania; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to make provision for giving legal effect in Uganda to the provisions contained in that Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by Parliament as follows:
